The 2013 European Poker Tour held last week in Prague totaled an impressive 47 events.
Julian Track became the centre of attention in last week’s casino gambling news, by winning the no-limit hold’em main event. Coming in 1st place in a contest with over 1,000 players, the German player went home with EUR 725,700 in his pockets.
After making a deal with opponent Georgios Sotiropoulos to each take EUR 700,000 and play for the remained prize pool and the title, Track’s smart strategies in poker brought him the big prize and 1,920 Player of the Year points, in a battle that lasted over four hours.
Poker masters win big
British player Stephen Chidwick came in third and won an impressive EUR 378,000 prize, by managing a new personal record. After eighth final tables of the year and two titles, Ole Schemion received EUR 218,300 and 800 POY points and came in 5th, climbing into 9th place in the overall standings.
Max Silver, champion of the UK and Ireland Poker Tout Dublin main event, was eliminated by Chidwick and finished 6th, along with a prize of EUR 160,200.
