Serial bank robber arrested at Mississippi casino

Police arrested a wanted bank robber who was hiding out at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Biloxi Thursday, February 20.

Biloxi Police said Christopher Nelson, 42, of Georgia was wanted for at least 4 bank robberies across Florida.

Authorities said they were tipped off that Nelson was staying at the casino. After confirming the information, police arrived and arrested him without incident.

Nelson was charged with Felony Fugitive from Justice and was transported to the Harrison County Jail where he will be held without bond pending an initial appearance.

Investigators believe Nelson robbed a Chase Bank in Brandon, FL, two Wells Fargo Banks in Zephyrhills, and a SunTrust bank in Wesley Chapel.

Detectives say Nelson would hand a note to the teller demanding money and flee on foot.
