Rail City Casino affected by hacking of unknown scope

SPARKS, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) — The Vegas-based company that owns Rail City Casino in Sparks says its system for processing credit and debit card information has been hacked.

James Prendergast, outside council for Affinity Gaming — the company in question — told News 4 today that all company locations are affected.

Prendergast also said the company does not know when the hacking began, but does know that data was compromised until April 23 of this year.

A report on the breach is expected by month’s end.
