DeepStacks Poker Tour finds home in Pocono

Serious poker players who can travel and enjoy tournament play may want to heed the call for the DeepStacks Poker Tour, the new and exciting international series featuring the game’s top pros playing in affordable buy-in tournaments.
DeepStacks Poker Tour, nationally televised, focuses on increasing player fields and prize pools through pro player participation, great structures, quality and 360 degree live stream programming.
DeepStacks and Northeast Pennsylvania’s premier gaming destination, Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs, have partnered for the 2013 Northeast Pennsylvania Poker Open. Subject to licensing and tournament approval, the DeepStacks Poker Tour Northeast Pennsylvania Poker Open series will be held April 6-13, 2013. The 9-day series will feature a $1,100 buy-in, $100,000 guaranteed Main Event and will be live streamed online via DeepStacks.com, DeepStacks360.com and MoheganSunPocono.com.
The event has already drawn commitments from DeepStacks Pros and World Series of Poker champions Michael “The Grinder” Mizrachi and Tristan Wade and Jennifer “Jennicide” Leigh. It will be the region’s exclusive stop on the 2013 international tour.
“Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs has been a focus of ours since we joined forces with their Connecticut property earlier this year,” said DeepStacks CEO Chris Torina. “They are the premier gaming destination in that region and bringing the DeepStacks Poker Tour will only add even more excitement to their world-class casino.”
The winner will earn a seat to the $2,500 buy-in, $500,000 Guarantee 2013 DSPT World Championship at Mohegan Sun.
