Caesars announces WSOP Warm-Up Poker Series

Caesars Palace has announced the schedule for the 2014 WSOP Warm-Up Poker series featuring 25 tournaments, 11 of which have guaranteed prize pools or WSOP Main Event seat packages, totaling over $110,000.
In addition, WSOP event seats will be added to the winner’s cash prize for all noon events. Poker players of all skill levels (21 or older) are invited to join in the daily events scheduled now through May 4, to warm up for the upcoming World Series of Poker.
“This is an excellent time to hone and practice your skills for the busy summer tournament series at the WSOP, which is one of the reasons we are adding WSOP seats to this year’s Warm-Up Series,” said Bill O’Connell, poker operations manager at Caesars Palace.
The poker room is adding eight $1,000 event seats and two $1,500 event seats, totaling $11,000 in WSOP seats. In addition, a WSOP Main Event Mega Satellite will be included on May 4 at 2 p.m.
This satellite features an $11,000 package, including a $10,000 WSOP Main Event seat and $1,000 in travel expenses, which includes step tournaments into this Mega satellite for as low as $50.
The WSOP Warm-Up Poker Series began last Friday. Tournament buy-ins for the series range from $130 to $560 for the two-day Championship Event starting this Saturday. Special events are also scheduled throughout the tournament series offering different versions of popular forms of poker, including No Limit Hold’em, Survivor (10% of field paid), Super Satellites into the Mega Satellite for the WSOP Main Event Seat package, and Double-Stack Turbo events.
Cash games and regular daily tournaments will still be held around the clock. Single table satellites for all events will be offered daily from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.
The Caesars Palace poker room features a selection of the most popular poker games, including Texas Hold’em, Stud and Omaha. With more than 14,000 square feet, including a 6,000 square foot tournament area and 33 tournament tables, it is the largest poker room on the Strip.
Good luck, and may the “nuts” be with you!
