An anonymous source says that Ben’s wife, Jennifer Garner, helps him maintain appearances, but when he attends Hollywood functions by himself, Ben allegedly gets «messy» drunk.
The insider says: «There have been times lately where he he’s been so drunk he’s the dude passed out on the couch after everyone else has gone home. Either that, or he’s the dude who’s all over the tall, attractive model type.»
Those closest to Ben are rumored to be worried by last weekend’s incident, as in the past, Affleck’s gambling has increased as his drinking worsened.
In the week leading up to his admission to a Malibu rehab center in 2001, the actor and Oscar-winning director reportedly won $800,000 gambling at the same casino he was kicked out of on Saturday.
Ben has stated in the past that he began drinking heavily while still in his teens. His father is a recovering alcoholic who has been sober for over 20 years.
