A suspect in the alleged use of fake poker chips in a poker tournament at the Borgata Hotel/Casino in Atlantic City has found himself in more trouble.
Officials said a search of the home of Christian Lusardi, investigated as the person who introduced the fake chips into the tournament play, revealed 37,500 illegal DVDs valued at close to $1 million. The home is in Fayetteville, N.C.
Investigators said Lusardi allegedly had been selling bootleg DVDs he received from China. The fake chips also are believed to have originated in China and were doctored after being received in this country.
The fake chip investigation is continuing, officials said.
