Social gaming giant Zynga has launched the latest app in its casino franchise with Wizard of Oz Slots, based on the classic Hollywood film, now live for iOS, Android and Amazon Kindle devices.
Wizard of Oz Slots is designed to provide an authentic casino experience, and sees players progress through different levels.
Each slot machine is based around a major chapter in the film, allowing players to battle the film’s villain, the Wicked Witch, and journey through a haunted forest to meet Dorothy’s companion, the Cowardly Lion.
The app also allows players to send one another gifts, while gameplay is synchronised across multiple devices, meaning users can begin playing on their smartphone, then continue on a tablet device.
The game has been designed with cutting-edge mobile slot mechanics and unique reel arrays, as well as high-quality design and graphics. It also features progressive jackpots, allowing users to win larger prizes.
The launch further strengthens Zynga’s casino portfolio following the launch of apps such as Hit it Rich! Slots and Riches of Olympus.
Hit it Rich! has proved especially lucrative, accounting for $18.6m of the operator’s online game revenue in the third quarter of the year.
