Suncoast Casino Poker Room Sizzlin’ at $15,000

Poker players can qualify now for some great spring free roll tournaments at Suncoast
The poker room is a non-smoking, 12-table card facility open 24 hours a day. It features $2-4, $4-8, and $10-20 limit Texas Hold’em, $1-2, and $2-5 blind No-Limit Texas Hold’em, $4-8 Omaha Hi, $4-8 Omaha Hi-Lo, and $1-5 Seven Card Stud.
The room also features 12 plasma TV’s for players’ viewing enjoyment. As with all Coast poker rooms, players earn “comp dollars” for playing in “live” games, which may be used for food, toward room rates, in the gift shop, shows and more.
Currently, poker players at Suncoast can qualify for the $15,000 Sizzlin’ Free Roll Poker Tournament to be held March 19. Players qualify with 80 rated “live” hours of play from now through March 3.
Players will receive 500 extra tournament chips for every 25 hours over 80. Double hours credit is being given for play from 1-9 a.m. and 4-6 p.m. daily. Players will also receive three hours for each initial tournament entry. A total of $15,000 in tournament prizes will be distributed to the top 10 finishers as follows:
First Place: $3,000
2nd Place: 30%
3rd Place: 20%
4th Place: 13%
5th Place: 10%
6th Place: 9%
7th Place: 6%
8th Place: 5%
9th Place: 4%
10th Place: 3%

On the other end of town, South Point Casino is also offering a Freeroll Tournament. Poker players can qualify now through March 31 for the $125,000 Spring Freeroll Tournament. 100 hours of live play will qualify for an entry into the tournament. Players can earn “chip bonuses” as follows:
Play 100 hours and receive $2,000 in tournament chips (one $10 add-on for $1,000 in tournament chips.)
For every additional 50 hours logged, you get $2,000 in chips.
The person with the most qualifying hours receives $1,500 cash. Second place is worth $500 with $300 going for third.
The tournament dates will be April 16-17 beginning at 7 p.m. with the finals to be held on Sunday, April 21 starting at Noon. A total of 50 places will be paid.
