Riviera: The poker room has recently started a promotion in association with Team 5 poker. It runs for 12 weeks and is a joint promotion with both live play and tournament play earning points toward a series-end free roll to be held Sunday, May 19. The free roll is guaranteed to be $5,000. After the initial first few weeks they are already projecting it to be $10,000 or higher.
Every Thursday and Friday at 6 p.m., it’s $2-$20 spread limit Texas hold’em with a max $4 rake and a mandatory $4 straddle earning you points toward the free roll. The same game runs from noon on Saturdays as well. The first five players in the cash game receive a $20 bonus buy on their chips after playing two hours.
Also on Saturdays, the Riv runs a $125 buy-in tournament that again awards points for the 12-week, series-end free roll. Mark Selby, shift boss at the poker room tells us, “The games have had plenty of action and run late into the night!”
In addition to the Team 5 promotion the poker room also continues to offer 24/7 progressive high hand jackpots, a weekly $3,000 free roll (10 hours live play to qualify), daily 11 a.m.-2 p.m., $100 high hand of the hour bonuses and $400 Four Flush Friday. The first to make a flush in all four suits can win $400.
Good luck, and may the “nuts” be with you!
