Several new tournaments are in the making. The first is a new charitable event.
OV Nation, a new generation of Opportunity Village supporters, will host the group’s first-ever poker tournament on Sunday, May 4 from 1-6 p.m.
The tournament is priced at a $60 buy-in per person, and proceeds will benefit Opportunity Village. It’s open to anyone at least 21 years of age. Registration and tournament information can be found online at http://ovnationpoker.eventbrite.com.
OV Nation will also host a raffle with special prizes such as show tickets, restaurant gift certificates, retail items and much more.
Mandalay Bay: The 2014 Tiger Jam will kick off Friday, May 16 with Tiger’s Poker Night presented by the World Poker Tour (WPT). This is an exclusive tournament emceed by poker legend Phil Hellmuth and hosted by Tiger Woods.
WPT is again teamed with the Tiger Woods Foundation to bring the third-annual poker event to Las Vegas. WPT cameras will film some of the action for inclusion in an upcoming World Poker Tour episode.
Tiger Jam, a two-day charity event May 16-17 and hosted by Woods, combines world-class golf, high-stakes poker, gourmet cuisine and exclusive VIP experiences into an exciting, star-studded weekend benefiting the college-access programs of the Tiger Woods Foundation.
Participants will join Woods, Phil Hellmuth, WPT host and Poker Hall of Famer Mike Sexton, poker’s all-time winningest tournament player Antonio Esfandiari and other poker greats for an exclusive night of the game. A Pre-Jam Party at Moorea Beach Club at Mandalay Bay will follow Tiger’s Poker Night. Tournament prizes include a round of golf with Woods, Pro-Am playing spots in premier PGA Tour events and other unique items.
On Saturday, May 17, Grammy-nominated pop-rock band OneRepublic will play at the Events Center to headline the 16th annual Jam. For more information on tickets call (949) 725-3003.
