The Senior Poker Tour, which offers tournaments for players aged 50 and over, has added three World Series of Poker Circuit entries as prizes to the 17-event series that begins with the first official event to be held Jan. 15-19 at Horseshoe Casino Tunica, Miss.
The winner of the $550 SPT Championship will win an entry to the WSOPC Tunica Circuit Main Event, a value of $1,675, in addition to the prize money of the tournament itself. Also, the winners of the SPT $340 Omaha Hi/Lo Championship and $340 HORSE Championship will win entries to the WSOPC Omaha Hi/Lo and the WSOP Circuit HORSE events on Jan. 28 and 29 respectively.
It has also been announced that professional poker player and industry ambassador Dennis Phillips has joined Team SPT and will attend the inaugural event along with Poker Hall Of Fame inductee Tom McEvoy, and pros Susie Isaacs, Marsha Waggoner and Mark Kroon. All will play various events as well as host an autograph meet and greet session. Both Tom and Mark are coming off of recent final table appearances on the Tournament Circuit.
