S. Dakota approves penny video lottery games

It took approval of the South Dakota lawmakers to permit casino customers to wager pennies instead of the previous nickels.
The South Dakota House joined with the Senate in approving legislation that will permit casinos to install video lottery games that can be played with a penny.
Some lawmakers disagreed that the move will entice gamblers to lose more money. Supporters said the move would encourage players to play more but lose less.
The bill needs the signature of Gov. Dennis Daugaard.
