PTEK acquired by Multimedia Games for $13M

PokerTek, (PTEK) was acquired last week by gaming machine provider Multimedia Games for the announced purchase price of $13 million.
Known for its electronic table games, including poker, blackjack and baccarat, PokerTek has located its games in casinos throughout the U.S. and Macau and is very popular on cruise ships.
PokerTek said its total revenue during the past 12 months was about $5.5 million.
“This proposed transaction,” said Multimedia Games CEO Patrick Ramsey, “represents an excellent opportunity for Multimedia Games to expand our product portfolio.”
