A new Judge Dredd video gaming slot is to be designed by Australia-based NextGen Gaming.
The exclusive licensing deal means the company will create online slots featuring 2000 AD’s Judge Dredd character that will be released this summer.
It is understood the agreement will cover the licensing of online and mobile slots and bingo games in all formats for international markets.
NYX Gaming’s Scott Smith said: «We’re proud to be working with one of the greatest comic characters of all time in bringing a multi-featured, richly branded gaming experience online with Judge Dredd.»
David Johnson, commercial director at NYX Gaming, added that Judge Dredd’s infamous no-nonsense style of law and order will work well with NextGen’s strong record of providing great game play.
He also expects the title will prove very popular with players and the Judge Dredd-themed games will become «the summer blockbuster title».
