Gamblers bet $23.3 million on slot machines at Presque Isle Downs & Casino during the week of Nov. 10-16.
The amount returned to them was $21.1 million, the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board reported.
The gross revenue, or amount of gamblers’ losses, was $1.7 million, after subtracting $607,922 in free plays. Of the gross revenue, $889,840 went to the state and $777,474 went to the casino. During a comparable week in 2013, Nov. 11-17, gamblers wagered $31.6 million, and $28.2 million was returned to them.
The record for slots wagers in one week was $57 million, set during the week of July 5-11, 2010.
