After three days of non-stop poker action the R12 000 No Limit Texas Hold’em Freeze Out Montecasino Poker Challenge 2012 came to an end on Sunday, 18 November with Jarred Solomon of Johannesburg taking the title and R440 000 in cash.
From 135 entrants and a net prize pool of R1.458 million, the final 10 placements and their takings were:

The Montecasino Poker Challenge 2012 took place at La Toscana at Montecasino and followed an evening of High Rollers poker in the Montecasino Poker Lounge where 34 players were slowly whittled down to a final table of four players with the overall winner taking R400 000 from a gross prize pool of R1.02 million.
The final four placements of the High Rollers event were:
1. Greg Tucker – R400 000
2. James Parker – R275 000
3. Rudolf Fourie – R150 000
4. Sean Stringer – R93 000
This puts the total amount of prize money and rake re-distributed by Montecasino in the last week alone at R2.640 million.
