Empire Resorts no longer allowing underage visitors

In order to prevent underage gambling, the Empire Resorts in Monticello, N.Y., which operates as the Monticello Casino and Raceway, will no longer permit underage people to enter the facility.
Past policy permitted children to enter certain non-gambling areas of the resort. That policy is ending, say officials, because some adults were permitting children to join them on the gaming floor.
New York law prohibits gambling under the age of 18 at all OTBs, horse racing facilities and other gambling venues.
