EAST HELENA — Police are looking for a man they believe is responsible for the robbery of an East Helena casino early Monday.
At about 12:35 a.m. a man wearing a hooded sweatshirt and a half-mask entered the Lucky Lil’s Casino and demanded cash from the night clerk.
The suspect left the business and ran away headed north with an undetermined amount of cash.
Investigators say several customers witnessed the incident and they also have video footage of the crime, but are continuing to look for clues and additional information.
Chief Dale Aschim of the East Helena Police Department said, «If they hear of anything like that — you know, it’s a small town, and people hear a lot of things — if they have any idea or of they have any information that they’d like to share with us, call 227-8686.»
Chief Aschim says his department is working with Lewis & Clark County Sheriff’s detectives and they hope to release video of the robbery soon.
Police have not yet told us if the man had a weapon.
