LINCOLN CITY — Scores of job seekers put their best feet forward last week during an employment fair at Chinook Winds Casino Resort.
Recruiters from 15 departments staffed tables on a convention room floor at the annual event, which drew 90 people on Wednesday, Oct. 29. At stake were 30 entry- and non-entry-level positions, according to Jenifier Leake, the human resources director for Chinook Winds.
“The job fair is a great way to get applicants into one-on-one interviews right away,» she said. «It allows managers to see a large amount of people in a short period of time thus making the whole process more efficient.”
Leake said the resort employs a workforce of 825, large enough to create year-round demand for entry-level employees, who typically earn $9.10 to $12 per hour, with benefits.
