Station Casinos’ Ultimate Poker paved the way for poker players to enjoy their game on the Internet in Nevada but come Thursday there will be two online poker sites available with the addition of Caesars Interactive’s “WSOP.com.”
The announcement was made Monday afternoon. Caesars, which goes online Thursday at 9:19 a.m., said it hopes to take advantage of its brand name. It also will use the online activity to offer tournaments that will feed its World Series of Poker competition.
Last week, Nevada gaming regulators approved Caesars Interactive and will monitor their online activities during a probationary period.
Partnering with Caesars in producing the online gaming site is the U.K.’ s 888Holdings Plc., an experienced poker site provider in Europe.
