BYI signs internet poker deal with Canadian firm

With a race developing between Nevada and New Jersey to see which state will be the first to authorize intrastate (or even interstate) Internet gambling, poker has become the focus of gaming companies.
On Monday, Bally Technologies Inc. responded by announcing it had signed a memorandum of understanding with Amaya Gaming Group Inc. of Montreal, Quebec, Canada, to integrate Amaya’s Ongame Poker Platform and casino suite into Bally iGaming Platform.
Ongame thus becomes Bally Tech’s preferred poker provider in the emerging a U.S. online gaming market.
Thus far, Ongame’s global online poker network includes 25 of the e-gaming industry’s strongest brands, owned by 19 operators in licensed regulated jurisdictions and currently reaches more than 20 million customers in over 25 markets. Also, Ongame operates regional networks in France, Italy and Spain.
Bally also announced that Amaya’s casino content will be integrated into Bally’s iGaming Platform, giving casino operators using Bally technology world-class content.
In its announcement, Bally called Ongame the “world leader in the online poker space.”
