$125,000 poker event set for South Point

South Point will host a $125,000 Spring Free Roll Tournament in April. Poker players can begin qualifying now through March 31 for the $125,000 event. There will be 100 hours of live play to qualify for an entry. Players can earn “chip bonuses” as follows:
• Play 100 hours and receive $2,000 in tournament chips (one $10 add- on for $1000 tournament chips.)
• For every additional 50 hours logged, you get $2,000 in chips.
• The person with the most qualifying hours receives $1,500 cash, second gets $500, third $300.
The tournament dates will be April 16-17 beginning at 7 p.m. with the finals Sunday, April 21 at noon. A total of 50 places will be paid. The top 3 finishers will win: $30,000, $15,000 and $10,000. Visit the Poker Room for complete details.
Golden Nugget
Join poker pro Karina Jett for the 5th Annual Ante 4 Autism Poker Tournament on Sunday, Jan. 27. The fundraiser will benefit Autism Speaks, as well as provide an opportunity for non-participants to donate during the evening. The downtown resort will also host its second annual Golden Saturday II in the Grand Ballroom on Saturday, Jan. 19, at noon. Golden Saturday has a $25,000 guaranteed minimum prize pool. The Poker Room next to Sully’s Bar offers Texas Hold’em and Seven Card Stud games. They feature 14 tables of Texas Hold’em No Limit and Limit games around the clock. You’ll also find several exciting varieties of poker suited to the recreational player as well as seasoned veterans.
Daily Texas Hold’em Tournaments are held 11 a.m., 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. Tournament buy-ins are $75 with no re-buys or add-ons. Players are comped at a rate of $1 per hour on the Caesars Entertainment Total Rewards Card, which also awards Tier Credits for playing poker to allow players to earn higher levels of card status.
